5 Ancient Recipes to Grow Long Hair Quickly

Beautiful hair has always been one of the main signs of femininity and attractiveness. Today, we can often see beauties in old paintings with lush, long and well-groomed hair.

Modern women find it a little more difficult to achieve this result and quickly grow hair, while retaining their beauty. The problem is that we live in an age of stress, bad ecology and poor quality care products, which have become popular thanks to the billions spent on advertising. But our ancestors, in matters of beauty, looked only to nature and its mighty power. Therefore, beauties from previous generations used natural remedies, and their recipes were passed on from generation to generation.

Today, you will discover 5 such recipes that have survived to this day. They will help you grow thick, shiny and beautiful hair quickly and without problems.

1. Honey with horseradish

The root of horseradish is often used for the preparation of spicy snacks and seasonings. But, in old times, it was used for beautiful and long hair. Fortunately, today, almost every woman has a blender or other shredding equipment, but, back then, beauties chopped the root of horseradish, grinding it in a wooden mortar. The resulting gruel was mixed with natural, fresh (non-crystallized) honey, and the mixture was then rubbed into the roots of the hair. Honey fed the scalp with vitamins and minerals, and the horseradish stimulated hair growth due to a slight irritating effect. Today, this procedure is also used by many women, but it should be borne in mind that excessive skin sensitivity is a contraindication for the use of this mixture.

2. Decoction of hop cones

Today, on the shelves of cosmetic shops, you can see a wide range of different hair care products. Most women and even some men use balms, conditioners and hair masks that nourish the scalp after washing and protect it from the harmful effects of shampoos and the environment. Previously, women did not have such means, and they used a natural remedy that activates hair growth, while, at the same time, additionally protecting each hair and the scalp, creating an antifungal and antibacterial barrier. This is a decoction made from cones of hops. This plant has a powerful effect, but it can be applied externally every day, and, within a week, the result will be noticeable – the hair will grow and become stronger and shiny.

3. Saponaria

When reading the composition of most shampoos in the middle price category, a simple person sees a list of incomprehensible words and titles that mean nothing to them. A chemist, while reading the list of ingredients, sees a lot of more or less toxic substances that can not only slow down the growth of hair and worsen its appearance, but these poisons, with regular application, can accumulate in the body and slowly destroy it. Take sodium dodecyl sulfate, for example – scientists have proven that this chemical is not just toxic, but also has a carcinogenic effect. Therefore, it is not surprising why, in our time, the cases of oncological diseases are so frequent. But there is an alternative – you can use something natural that is not only safe, but also useful for the growth and beauty of your hair. It's called saponaria or soapworts. It clears the scalp and hair, no worse than expensive shampoos, and does not violate the acid-base balance, does not destroy the microflora and does not deprive the scalp of the protective layer that is formed by the exocrine glands. Saponaria not only cleans, but also nourishes the scalp, improves blood circulation, thereby increasing the process of cell division. This plant can be used without fear for washing your head and other parts of your body every day.

4. Garlic and onion mask

This is, perhaps, one of the most extreme care procedures which women used in old times. Those wishing to look attractive and quickly grow their hair had to withstand the unpleasant effects in the form of a pungent odor. Garlic and onion, in equal proportions, were ground, a little oil to protect the head skin from the burn were added, and the mixture was then applied, rubbing it into the roots of the hair with massage movements. After applying the mask, the head was wrapped with a warm kerchief or a towel, and the mixture was left on the skin for 4-5 hours or even overnight. A significant drawback is that, after the mask is removed, your hair can exhale the aroma for another 3-4 days, and washing using flavored shampoos can nullify the effect of the procedure.

5. Hemp oil

Previously, this was used not only for cosmetic procedures – often, the oil from the seeds of hemp served as a substitute for sunflower oil, as its cost was much lower, and the taste was better. If you want to use hemp oil for hair growth, take 1 tablespoon of it 1 time per day. You can also apply this product externally to care for the scalp. Hemp oil is partially absorbed, and its valuable substances penetrate the skin through the cell membranes, which feed the hair follicle, stimulating hair growth.
